Few days ago, North Korea surprisingly offered of talks with South, aiming at normalizing commercial projects and potentially reopening the jointly run Kaesung industrial zone. However, North Korea withdrew from talks for Wednesday. An official statement from the Communist North says its neighbor never intended the talks to occur and sought obstacles to cancel the dialogue.
Opinion:
I hoped that talks would help to relieve tensions between two countries; but it did not happen. If North Korea has an open mind to have a conversation, it would benefit North Korea both politically and economically. As I learned in Economics class, transitional countries, changing an economic system from a command economy to a market economy, benefit from the global economy and develop. I hope there will be another opportunity for a conversation.

Have no idea why NK's keeping that kind of dang policy. They should come more willingly and benefit to both their suffering people and world's peace.
ReplyDeleteI hope North Korea and South Korea become in harmony. North Korea should think about their economy objectively so that they have to have open mind to South Korea and to the world.
ReplyDeleteNK keeps changing its words, looking for its profit only. I hope the kids sent back to NK to be safe.
ReplyDeleteI hope it goes well...I really hope it will so that we could unite!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, this talk is useless for South Korea because North Koreans don't even consider the South Korean government's plans. If N. Koreans do, they will kick out us less than a decade. Conversations with Communists? LMAO, I will never compromise with communist rather wake or kill them all.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Both Korea to ber good friends. But, I don't want the two nations to be united because it would cause a lot of money and it will have cultural issues too.
ReplyDeleteActually, both countries have to back down a little. Both of them have to try their best to understand each other. Why don't they realize this? Don't they know that tension and violence brings no good, always? GRACE
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see something about the North and South Koreas, I get a bit frustrated. I hope that they would quit the arguing as soon as possible and move on.
ReplyDeleteHa... I thought it would be great to see North and South Korea having conversation with each other but it is kinda bummer that they had postponed it.
ReplyDeleteI hope they talk and figure out a way to talk and solve this problem.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that there'll be no war, but I just want true peace or unification between North Korea and South Korea
